JOB ANNOUNCEMENT Job Title: Senior Associate, Development (Fundraising) Supervisor's Title: Executive Vice President, Development Location: Philadelphia, PA Office FLSA: Exempt Position Summary and Essential Functions: This position provides support the overall fundraising activities of OFN's Development line of business and External Affairs team. The Senior Associate works to coordinate existing funding relationships and new relationships to help achieve the team's annual fundraising goal ($2 million+). Essential functions of this position are: * Assist EVP in maintaining and tracking pipeline of concept papers and proposals that position OFN's programs to receive funding. * Write and submit compelling proposals and reports, including OFN's quarterly investors report. * Analyze grant trends and make recommendations for potential funding partners * Maintain grant compliance and operations including tracking deliverables and monitoring grant spend budgets with high standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness; plan grant on-boarding meetings; * Coordinate the systems, data, and research that drive funder/investor relationship planning and execution. Ensure that all information and analyses are current, accurate, and relevant to the relationship strategy--clearly understanding and linking planning, actionable next steps, and outcomes. * Support OFN's sponsorship activities, assisting in the relationship management and logistical planning for the OFN Conference and other sector events as assigned. Position Details: Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in achieving annual revenue targets and other strategic goals by managing specific OFN funder relationships and fundraising campaigns, leveraging senior OFN executives and other organizational resources as appropriate. This includes: Grant proposal development and submission * Prepare materials for proposals; submit proposals and monitor grant applications. * Draft proposals and grant application narratives, and collaborate to finalize with or Executive Vice President, Development or Leadership Team member. * Submit grant applications via funders' online portals, and maintain OFN's list of passwords. * Execute thank you letters, receipts, post-grant acknowledgements, forms, surveys, etc. * Ensure acknowledgment of funders/investors via OFN's website, e-newsletter, and social media. ? Support the submission of government grants (CDFI Fund FA Award, SBA, etc.) Support OFN event sponsorship activities, including sponsor solicitation and fulfillment by: * Maintaining contact with current and potential sponsors. * Assist sponsors identify opportunities at the OFN conference; assist Leadership team in closing sponsorship opportunities. * Complete due diligence on closed sponsorships. Funder and investor reporting, including tracking deliverables and monitoring grant spend budgets. * Anticipate and manage the timely completion and submission of all funder and investor reports. - Monitor and maintain the funder and investor reporting schedules and requirements. - Produce the monthly Grant Spend Report to track grant expenditures. - Draft compelling progress and final reports to funders that fully capture programmatic success, collaborating with OFN staff across business lines. - Assemble all necessary supporting materials and documents including budget reports, OFN financials, loan covenants, etc.; submit reports to funders and investors via email or online reporting portal. - Report examples include: o CDFI Fund Institution Level Report (ILR) and Transaction Level Report (TLR). o Quarterly Report to OFN's Financing Fund investors. o Individual grant reports for general operating support or specific projects/initiatives. - Participate in and assist in coordinating meetings and conference calls with funders. Systems, data, and research that drive funder/investor relationship planning and execution. * Collaborate with the EVP, Development in management of the systems and data that underpin OFN's relationship management work, including contact information, communications logs, etc. - Manage the Development Team's pipeline and relationship information including contact and meeting notes in the Team's CRM system (Salesforce). * Organize and monitor execution of funder/investor goals, tactics, and next steps. - Produce the monthly fundraising report. - Update and maintain the Team's weekly meeting agenda, including key goals and timelines. * Contribute to the team's planning and strategy development with quality research and analysis. - Analyze historic funder and fundraising data to illustrate trends and help bring additional clarity to key funder relationships. - Perform research and data gathering from external and internal sources to provide synthesized, thoughtful research that feeds funder prospecting and concept papers. Miscellaneous * Keep updated on fundraising trends specifically in the areas of small business, impacting investing, socially-responsible investing, and community development. * Provide biannual analysis and recommendations to EVP for prospective funding. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years' work experience in lieu of a degree; graduate degree a plus * 3+ years' experience in fundraising, grant writing, grants management or sales required * Demonstrated formal writing experience required; preferably analytical or persuasive in nature * Experience working with CRM databases is beneficial; experience with Salesforce a plus * Understanding of community development preferred * Experience or volunteer work in a non-profit or small office environment a plus * Excellent administrative skills including planning and time management * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint) * Must possess strong analytical and persuasive writing skills as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience with a high attention to detail required * Self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner * Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality * Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with other teams within OFN * Moderate travel required (<20% of time) * Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position.
