David didn’t want to cancel on his friend Mia when they planned to meet for dinner, however the way his head was pounding and the tinnitus in his ear was acting up he didn’t feel like he could get up from his bed. He was taken by surprise when the other still arrived at his place, with a sandwich and soup from the restaurant they were going to go to. He grinned weakly at her when she walked into his room with the food in hand, grateful that she still thought of him. “Thank you so much, you’re incredible, hon,” he gushed at his friend. When she leaned down to place the tray of food on his lap, his head raised up slightly to press a soft kiss to her cheek. He knew he was lucky for his friends, no matter what else was trying to cause him trouble.
