New things in the horizon
Hello Blugolds! This semester has been very exciting for me in many ways! First, off, I finished my chemistry minor last semester, so that means no more chemistry :’( However that also means I get to spend the last three semesters here at UWEC in the wonderful Biology department! It feels to good to be back!!
On April 8th I will be taking my Dental Admittance Test (DAT) for graduate school, and I am both extremely nervous and excited at the same time!! As that date gets closer, I’m finding that really it is simply a matter of how well I can stay organized with my time and how much practice tests I can do prior to actually taking the exam. I remember when I first signed up in December and how I thought that I’d have all the time in the world to prepare. Now flash forward only 2 months and I am realizing now how soon it is approaching. Depp breaths Katelyn, you can do this. It’s only the test that determines where you will be studying for the next four years!! In all seriousness however, I really do love studying for the exam, and I’m learning to visualize objects in multiple dimensions, and that’s pretty cool :)
Lastly, I am a Resident Assistant now!! I never thought that I would be an RA, and I kind of always doubted my abilities to be a good RA, however coming in mid year has taught me so much already! It truly is a gerat experience to be able to impact the lives of others and to be a role model. I am been enjoying getting to meet and know the residents on my wing, and I am very thankful for such a unique opportunity where I can improve in leadership, communication, and event planning skills! I am excited for what the semester holds for my floor of wonderfully lively residents :)
Have a great weekend Blugolds! Chao!
