Despite creating an hour-by-hour availability schedule (created by me, using Doodle.com) every single interview we needed to do for this evaluation project was scheduled during times I was not available.

Five of my group-mates.  Six interviews conducted.  I emailed out before interviews even started stating that I would transcribe the extra interview since I was not able to be at any of the sessions.  Received some pushback from the group member I expected to push back, and support from the group member from whom I anticipated support.

I just emailed again to inquire who conducted that extra interview so I could get a copy of the audio to transcribe.  Received additional pushback from the pushy group mate, so I just directly emailed the girl who has been helpful to ask for advice.  I am so over this project and this group.  (Except for the helpful/nice groupmate.  She is actually awesome.)

I think I've finally figured it out.  You know, what I want to be when I grow up.  My entire body is buzzing with electricity and I feel like I could cry tears of mingled relief and happiness.

My giant, mind-numbing, soul-sucking, ridiculous semester long research project is DDDDOOOONNNNEEEEE!!!!!!!  I didn't think it was ever going to happen (some struggles with my research partner), but I spent the last three solid days working on the report and presentation and it is DONE!  Report to be turned in at 6pm, presentation to be given today or two weeks from today.  (Prof didn't let us sign up for a specific date because he wanted everybody to be ready to go at the same time so no one had the extra two weeks to do their presentation.)

Ummm, I literally haven't volunteered since 2010 because I've been too busy trying to make ends meet and not kill myself in the process.  Hire me for an internship, please?

I slept relatively well last night and allowed myself to sleep in.

I was ready to leave early this morning, giving me just enough time to prep for my first time as a qualitative research interviewer. 

My first interview for my research project went very well earlier this afternoon.

Interview #2 is scheduled for Monday.  Interviews #3 and #4 are in the works.  (Haven't nailed them down yet, but fingers crossed.)

My to-do list for the day/weekend is all put together and I'm feeling quite motivated to do most of it.

I'm beginning to feel like I have a grasp on what I need to do to complete my field placement application.

I made fun plans with a great friend for Tuesday.

And the sun is shining. :)
