I’m not. But I would never tell you that.

1. that one guy who doesn’t know what RNA is and has never taken a biology class

2. that one girl who didn’t actually do any experiments and bullshits everything

3. that other guy who doesn’t know anything about microbes and is working on “nigeria*” gonorrhea

4. that other girl who cries when she has to do anything on a computer and then people feel sorry for her and do it for her 

5. and that one girl who complains there aren’t fellowships for white people; i have no idea if she’s actually smart or competent, i just assume she isn’t because she’s a fucking asshole

it seriously bothers me so much when i have to listen to any of them, ughgghhhhhh

It was nice to sit and talk to some other gals in the program. But, everyone is so miserable. I suppose it’s a change to feel some companionship and be a little less alone. But it makes me feel immeasurably sad. 

So I’m taking the required Research Conduct and Ethics course and slides were just posted. I guess we’ll be talking about mentors tomorrow. 

Except... THEY LITERALLY SUGGEST GOING TO PHD COMICS TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS WITH YOUR MENTOR????
