Happy Tanz Tuesday everyone!! 😍

ok look here’s the thing: I’m a big ol queer but there’s a reason I don’t identify as much with the label gay or lesbian and it’s because of the very rare, very random assholes like Darius Tanz that come into my life and it’s like, I don’t really wanna bone him but I kinda wanna bone him, you know?

Honestly there are things about Salvation that make me 🧐 but. BUT. Darius Tanz ok. He’s got that obnoxious flyboy attitude for like .0001 seconds and then it all falls away because he’s actually a DARLING - what I like about him a lot is that he’s like that from the very beginning; he’s not an arrogant asswipe who becomes better because of a woman. He’s already a good guy. His immediate response upon hearing the world is coming to an end isn’t “how do I save my own ass” it’s “how do I save the best and brightest parts of HUMANITY” and yeah his way of doing that via computer code is fucked up, but he’s TRYING OK he’s not perfect but he’s such a soft boy!! Just the way he speaks is so sweet and gentle most of the time and he’s so suave but not in a pedantic or gross way?

And then he meets Grace and falls head over heels and I just. I love that he’s emotionally honest with her? He’s the one who says “ilu but I can’t think about this right now bc I’m trying to save the world can we rain check?” rather than just ghosting her; he’s the one who’s upfront about his illness; he’s the one who says “whatever time I have left I want to spend it with you” like he isn’t afraid to be emotionally vulnerable and that?? Is so?? Hot??? Like yeah he can hack NASA but remember the time he asked Grace’s consent before kissing her?
