Although Kikuhito likened himself to War, he was not entirely War himself. War had his own agenda, and it just so happened that Kikuhito’s ideals and plans aligned nicely with his. It was a two birds with one stone kind of deal, which is why he had decided to reincarnate in Kikuhito in the first place. What could he say --- he fought his battles efficiently.
When Kikuhito first made his way to Ceres Centropolis on War’s suggestion, he had let the man find his bearings. Surely gaining not only the powers of War, but also his demigod abilities would throw anyone for a loop, even for one who presented himself as calm and collected as Kikuhito did. After all, one must first know oneself if they expect to win any battles, and ultimately, the war.
But War could only wait so long, and the rules of war were starting to play out like a predictable game of chess he had seen too many times to count. It was time to put the world into checkmate, and in order to do so, he had to call upon his fellow pieces. “I thought I’d find you here, Death...” He said casually as he strode up to stand beside her figure sitting on the bench in the cemetery. “So, how is my favourite sibling doing these days?”
