Once again, I was inspired by the amazing SPN fic written by @castiel--for--king and had to draw something. So here's my rendition of a scene from Chapter 20 of Grace Bound. I can't recommend this fic enough! <3

do you have any more headcanons for how the angels communicate with one another? i think your concept of having their eyes change color to reflect their emotions is really cool! imo, aside from enochian speech, i think they communicate telepathically since they can read each other’s minds.
@of-neptunes-heart I have a few headcanons but the halo being made up of crystals that move to reflect light based on their emotions is kind of my big one. Angels can see such a massive range of colors and can differentiate between shades in such detail and with such accuracy that it allows them to basically read each others' minds without saying any words.
ALSO, I have a headcanon that they communicate with sound as well, like birds. But they are massive beings and the sounds would be much lower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj36koXYJLs is a video of slow motion bird calls that is what I picture when I think of angels communicating in their true forms.
But my headcanon about Enochian is that it came later in angelic history, when they realized they needed a way to record stuff. These eternal beings started going to war and dying and suddenly information was dying with them so they created a language to write it down. I also think the reason the letters are written in broad strokes and primitive lines is because they were writing in their true forms, because all this happened before there were humans to take as vessels, and maybe they're trying to write with claws or other weird appendages that aren't great for writing.
Enochian letters remind me of Skyrim's dragontongue letters:
Its easy to see how one could make these broad strokes with a single claw. And since my main headcanon for angel true forms is sort-of dragon-like this all fit together nicely for me haha

I made a sketch of Dean and Cas chilling from Chapter 15. I'm trying to draw more even if I don't have a lot of time and their fic evokes so many images in my mind... Thank you for writing it!

I wanted to draw an eerie, inhuman Cas, and this scene was perfect for that. If you haven't read this WIP, do yourself a favor! It's soo good!
Artwork of Cas being otherworldly in Grace Bound by @castiel--for--king . I tried to follow the imagery already beautifully illustrated in the fic (see Ella's art in there). I have so many images in my head, but some of them will be a real challenge to put on paper.
