just another of the many examples of tumblr latching onto a half-truth and shouting it from the rooftops >.<
i think there is a desperation (especially on tumblr tbh) to disprove certain right-wing extremist forms of faith by swinging completely to the opposite direction and screaming "THE BIBLE ISN'T WHAT YOU THINK IT IS"
only to do so they have to use the exact same logical fallacies as the people they're so desperate to undermine
idk this is why I don't talk about these things on tumblr a lot because it's just a terrible place to argue and there's so much misinformation that I want to beat my head against a wall until unconscious sometimes
