Hawaiian: James wears a luau outfit, I’m talking grass skirts, lei, coconut bra, and a flower crown… over a pair of knee-length khakis and a t-shirt. His parents made him promise to dress modest, after all.

Pete goes full dad fit, tacky tropical shirt, safari hat, sunglasses, socks and sandals, and a mocktail for good measure-which promptly gets confiscated and he complains the rest of the night

Sirius hires a whole group of hula dancers and walks in like a baddie, in a VERY culturally insensitive outfit. Remus lectures him the whole night.

Remus is wearing a Hawaiian tropical shirt thing Peter lent him, no more no less. Pete made him wear it. Remus begrudgingly put it on over his sweater. (He was happy Pete brought an extra just for him)

Tribe: James is on red. He was gonna be on blue, but he fought with the camp planners until he was on red. Dresses up as a tomato. Walks around saying he’s his favorite fruit allllll night. Recently learned tomatoes are fruit via Remus; is very proud of his knowledge. (He got called a nerd)

Pete is on orange (for reasons you know, as you are also on orange) and “matches” with James by dressing up as an orange. Got upset when people told him his peel was wrinkly and James unintentionally ignored him.

Sirius is also on red- he was supposed to be on purple, and would’ve been fine with that, but learned James was switching to red and paid the camp planners to make him red as well. This was a surprise to James, who hung out with Sirius and hyped him up during tribe night. I’m not sure why, Sirius had borrowed one of Marlene’s red dresses and was flagrantly ignoring the counsler’s requests for him to changed. Also hot colored hair extensions and face paint. And nail polish. And earrings. And eyeshadow. And body glitter. And- well, you can imagine how far he went.

Remus was on green, and wore his favorite green sweater for tribe night. His tribe was very surprised and Pete hyped him up endlessly. Remus joked about being Pete’s stem and hung around him all night to keep up the illusion.

What kind of cabin life would the marauders+the valkyries live? Like who’s messy, who’s clean, who isn’t shutting up and annoying the other campers??

GREAT question, unfortunately we all know the answer:

The girls are actually pretty mid. Lily tries to keep things organized, and succeeds to a certain degree, but they’re all just so different that it doesn’t really work out great. They’re not bad by any means, just… in a slight state of disarray. Marlene somehow brought her guitar and keeps practicing on it when Lily tells her not to

The boys?? Ohhhh the boys….. hehehehehe…..

Remus runs that dorm like the NAVY. He’s had enough of their bullcrap all school year, so he made a decision to go into camp with a written plan and somehow they stick to it.

There’s a written shower schedule, rules posted on the bathroom door, the toiletries are organized (courtesy of Sirius), there’s a snack pantry which Peter keeps track of (he’s the best at counting missing snacks), there’s a detailed bathroom routine, there’s a time set for everything and everything has a set time. James is the most annoying purely for the fact that he forgot to take his muddy shoes off before going into the bathroom and Remus cried silently for approximately three minutes while Peter scrubbed voraciously at the floor to keep his wife (/platonic) happy. Sirius hid in the corner.

What kind of camp counselors would the marauders be??

Okay so let’s think this through

James is the overly energized, hyped up, tries to get everyone into the spirit kind of counselor. He both succeeds and fails. Also surprisingly competent when it comes to rules and helping campers with problems.

Sirius is the camp counselor who tries to be energized but also can’t deal with anyone before having at LEAST three special made espressos. He tries to be fun but has a kind of intimidating presence… and does NOT know the rules or first aid.

Peter is an absolute GOAT with counseling. He’s not overly enthusiastic like James, but has a lmore naturally approachable energy than Sirius does. He’s funny and entertaining, not too stuffy or strict but not too loose with the rules either. Over all, he’s the campers top pick for best couns-

Oh hey ITS MR. LUPIN HIIIIIIII so Remus has this natural softness for kids and teens, and they just kinda… know. He never makes an effort to approach them, they kinda just find him. They still think Pete is #1, but they go to Remus for their problems and if they need actual help.
