We are once again reminded through this message, why we need to remain steadfast in the place of prayer and intercession. Prayer is the act of changing a situation, condition, or people that proves difficult. We need to keep in focus on the reason we've been given the right and power to enforce change according to heaven's rule on earth. The issues of spiritual authority are becoming a critical reality within the nature of the current emphasis on the Spirit. Advancing into the future will demand we redefine our location and position of spiritual authority. Our legitimate position is to execute the judgement that is written. The reasons the Church exists is to manifest the desired intention of the Father on the earth. We live in the days where we are seeing an increase in corruption and wickedness particularly among those in the place of leadership. Our mandate as representatives of righteousness is to stand in the gap and proclaim the justice reign of God in the land. Elijah was a man just like us, but he remains committed and faithful in prayer without wavering until the will of God was established in the Land. The call to prayer is not a selfish act, but a selfless, sacrificial mandate that seeks to transform the conditions of others, especially in regions where corruption and injustice have become the order of the day. Nothing happens without the earnest prayer of the Saints. The Spirit of the Lord is stirring our hearts again in this critical season to stand as watchmen in prayer! James 5: 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. The word of God said that through the prayer of Elijah the Lord shot heaven for three and a half years without rain, and through the prayer of Elijah, heaven was open again and the rain fell on the earth until it yielded its fruits again. if we desire to see our nations and society yield fruits again, we have to engage God in the place of prayer; if we desire to see the government change and stand for righteousness, we have to keep exercising our spiritual duty in intercession. This is an inspiring message that calls us to a governmental position of prayer and intercession.
