Pretty sure Gousgous is female, as the goose has a friend that joins them for a while every day, and I'm mostly certain that this is the smaller of the two, mostly by the limp - though being able to note a consistent defect in the walk of one of two geese is no simple thing.
When Friend of Gousgous comes over, they typically eat a bunch of grass together, walk to the pond and hang out there a bit, then fly to the neighbor's pond. A few minutes later, Gousgous is typically back, alone.
