Party for Two
There were few in the world that had the misfortune of spending their Halloweens alone with no friends, no family, no funâŚ
And, somehow, the effervescent and flighty Ilaria ended up as one of those lonesome souls. She was dressed in a bunny costume, ears, fluffy tail, skimpy (classy!) casino-esque attire, all ready and excited to go to a costume party only to receive a text that she hadnât RSVPâd soon enough and the member slot had âsold out.â
So she was, in effect, all dolled up with nowhere to go. Dejectedly, she dropped onto her couch and pouted at the blank TV before scrolling through her phone to see if she could find someone that wasnât averse to last-minute plans.
And, she found someone in her cell phone contact, and smiled. Red. Ah, yes. He would love to get together for some silliness. Wouldnât he? She wasnât sure. But it was worth a shot.
Quickly, she typed in a message to the friend in mind.
[7:06 P.M. Hey, Lavi. Yâbusy? If not, get youâre nice ass over to my apartment. Wear a costume. Iâm ordering pizza and Iâve got great beer in the fridge.]
