This is Goubagoo! He is part of a species called Jessica, named after the woman who discovered his species, Jessica [REDACTED]. He was found in a stream somewhere in Ireland, and at first Jessica thought he was a rock covered in moss until she saw his eyes. Those eyes... they've seen things. Many things. For Jessicas can live for thousands of years, and Goubagoo is one of the oldest still alive at 10,574 years old. You'd never guess his age just from looking at him, though, because he's just as spry as ever, and the only way to tell a Jessica's age is by counting the rings inside one of the mushrooms on their heads, but that's painful for them and also really fucking hard. He only says his favorite word, which is "Goubagoo". That's how Jessica gave this little dude his name. All Jessicas have one unique word that they say, and they communicate through whistles and the stomping of their little stone feet. They are very shy and prefer not to have much contact with humans unless they trust them, but this little guy was kind enough for us to draw a portrait of him! Thanks, Goubagoo!
