ohhhhh, i kinda jumped in w/ out more context, why do you want to skip shampoo?

forgoing shampoo and conditioner and replacing it with a bakingsoda wash and apple cider vinegar rinse is supposed to re-set your ph balance and give you healthy hear and scalp. Its much better for you, cheaper and doesnt have all the harsh chemicals. 

but the first like month or so is the 'detox' stage where your hair goes through a phase of being greasy and gross before your body re-sets and learns to make the proper amount of oil for itself. 

why not co-wash instead, just use conditioner and not the shampoo
