"Now," Began her Aunt, "What does it mean, reversed too, mama."

Mantra closed her eyes tight, and not from the pain this time. She focused hard on the tarot card in front of her, the answer was right at the tip of her tongue. It felt like there was a faint voice calling out to her in the back of her head. "Action and... and concentration."

"Good girl, and reversed?"

"Unsused potential and being unsure." A slender, graceful hand reached out behind her, flipping the card over and revealing the Magician. This was how Mantra's Aunt, Alma, would teach Mantra magic. She would place something in front of her and ask her what it is. What could she feel from it. What it could be used for.

Today was only slightly different, this time, Auntie Alma had begun placing cards face-side-down, asking her what they were and their meanings. She had gotten 5 correct so far. A few of the cards were difficult to read, too quiet, to... alarming.

"Last one today. Who is this?" When Alma placed down the card in front of her, something changed. Unlike the others, the ones that felt like a faint whisper behind the back of her head, this one felt like it was speaking right into her ear. Mantra immediately knew the answer.
