メイドカフェ Maid Cafe
Maid Cafes are restaurants where waitresses cosplay in maid costumes and serve customers whom they call "masters" and "mistresses." The first permanent Maid Cafe was established in Akihabara in 2001 but, has since then expanded into other countries. Workers are chosen based on appearance, especially how "innocent" they look. The cafes were originally targeted at otaku's (fans of anime, manga, etc.) but, they now attract many tourists. If you ever visit Japan, a Maid Cafe seems like a pretty interesting place to go to!
