Heād never been scared of her. He was the only person sheād ever met who wasnāt. Sure, occasionally her rage had been strong enough heād fled from her, but generallyā¦ He was unflinching.Ā
When her hands flared up, he rolled his eyes. When she yelled, he ignored her. Mocking him was the only way to get a rise out of him, and even that was rarely sustainable.
She wasnāt scared of him either, yet when he fixed that tearful gaze on her she froze in place.Ā
