Of course Waffles Caturdays is about orange Bengals so sad they lost 😢 and blue Cats so glad they won 😃, but this Saturday it’s about much more. Yesterday was National Wear Red Day in solidarity with women raising awareness for February’s American Heart Month. And, with extra inspiration from a BIG proponent of this initiative Martine’s art curator Sylvia, did we ever dress ourselves in red, decorate heart cookies and hang red hearts ♥️ in the shop. Kick off your month in red with waffles, savory Hash casserole made with waffle pieces, bacon bits, onions topped with melted gruyere cheese, horseradish cream and spiced potato hash with an egg your way served on the side waffle. And, sweet Blueberry Pudding a bread pudding made from our waffles topped with blueberries and served with an almond maple syrup, cinnamon cream cheese whip and white chocolate chips waffle.
