Given that we're living in an increasingly authoritarian capitalist pseudo-police state whose whims are dictated by corporate megaliths, and we put all our thoughts and ideas on a digital panoptican, maybe it's a good idea to get some of our info off of corporate servers. After all, the CIA did say that "facebook was the best thing" that ever happened to them (Facebook was also started with seed money from CIA-venture capital firm In-Q-Tel--they know voluntary surveillance is in the best interest of the ruling order).
This enterprising blogger came up with a nice way to de-google yourself and get some of your life off of an ad corporation's digital rolls. Remember kids, McCarthyism happened only 60 years ago, and COINTELPRO only 40.
