I was on google chrome with a bunch of windows open and I was trying to post something on tumblr and it for some reason exited out, and then the little box that popped up that says: Confirm Navigation You have an unsaved post blah blah then it has to options Stay on this page or leave this page. And I tried to click stay on the page and it just popped again. I clicked leave and it popped up again. I tried to exit out of it but it won't allow me to, and it won't let me exit out of the whole window or go to another tab and it makes a little ding sound every time I try. I was able to go to internet explorer so I could log into tumblr and post this, but I need help! Someone please it is the never ending Confirm Navigation popups! I thought it was a myth... its not. HELP.

I tried to look up how to fix it but all of the ways to fix it include using the omnibox which it wont allow me to click on. I don't know how to force the window to close, but I need help. Plz someone. Someone who knows more about google than I do help.

I've tried disabling and uninstalling XKit (and have reinstalled it, too), to no avail. I have the same problem in other browsers at work and have had it on multiple computers, but everything loads quickly and usually without incident at home and on other wireless networks. And this has only been a problem for a few weeks--it definitely was not always the case.

I do sometimes get the error message "The page at https://www.tumblr.com says: Cannot read property 'appendChild' of null," which Googling leads me to think is some kind of coding error, but I don't know the first thing about coding, haven't messed with any Tumblr settings in such a fashion (there's a reason all of my blogs are laid out exactly the same), and it doesn't happen every time the page loads slowly.

I'm trying to avoid asking the IT department specific questions unless I absolutely have to, given that I'm using this website for clearly not-work purposes.  (Although I'd totally go the IT people if I could say something like, "My computer is having trouble loading this sort of technical thingy; make it not be so.") 

i've restarted the browser a couple of times and other sounds work on the desktop and other browsers
