Taming of the Screwy is probably my FAVORITE episode out of aLL OF THEM and that’s mostly because you see a different side to the Warners halfway through it. Plotz has Scratchy throw them back into the water tower when they were doing absolutely NOTHING WRONG and instead of resorting to their usual antics IMMEDIATELY they get, like, really hurt and it always makes my heart ache.
Here’s where the ACTUAL head canon part comes. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the first, nor was it the last, time Plotz pulled something like that. I can completely see him putting them back in the water tower simply because they were just too happy. Imagine the three of them chilling out at the commissary, eating some ice cream, enjoying their free time, when all of a sudden Ralph, Scratchy & Hello Nurse come barging in with an order to ‘put them back where they belong.’
These three kids just did not have it easy on the Lot. No WONDER they went totally off the rails every time they managed to escape.
