Okay gago. My crush? Always flexes his muscles on his Facebook My Days. I'm not a muscle person pERO POTANGINA MO ROB, I AM OVER YOU CAN YOU PLEASE STOP???
I do not know how to ask this and I don't want to come across as being rude but what is the best way to learn about different races and cultures and traits? I am pretty white and I don't know a lot about other cultures (I am half latino but I don't know Spanish and I don't know much about the culture). I want to have a better understanding of other people and I would also like to write with more diverse characters.
im very definitely not the best person to ask this on account of i am. so fucking white. but! @writingwithcolor has a lot of good resources on making sure your characters arent like. shitty stereotypes and a lot of their advice boils down to: research.
if you arent sure about something look it up and if you are sure about something i would say ALSO look it up. i try to find stuff written by people from that culture
and listen to criticism if you get it! dont get defensive just. listen to what theyre saying.

how does one loop people into SIX cause i try and i fail ;w;
Usually i just chat them and ramble on and on about SIX and pray that curiosity (and boredom cause covid) hits them hard honestly
So Im about to run a D&D campaign for my friends who are complete strangers to D&D, and also to add to problems, we're born spanish-speakers, I do speak english but half of them dont, so any tips on how to run the game and teach them with that issue?
So we’re all native english speakers, and there’s not a word of spanish among us (the closest to a second language we have is Welsh and that’s a laugh) so my advice is a little sparse. I think Wizards have published the core books in spanish. That would be the first place to start, I think. From there, I would hit message boards and the internet to see what other spanish speakers are up to… I’m sure there are people following us that might be able to help? If you’re up to it, maybe head down to your local game store, see what they’ve got in the way of advice and spanish language books.
Other than that, I would guess preperation is the key. Translated character sheets are an immediate concern, and then spells seem like nightmare to translate but if the books aren’t available in spanish then you will have to do something about that (I tried to check if they were, by the way? And I don’t know what I was expecting but all the articles were in spanish so I came away from that feeling stupid). I don’t want to suggest you limit your magic users to those that speak english if this is the case but you might have to - that’s your call really. The rest of the game mechanics I would say can easily be taught without the text book, as long as you know them. Only one of my players had read the PHB when we started and they picked it up well enough from me tellin’ ‘em what to do.
You should also take this opportunity to make english into elven or some language that not all the characters speak, that sounds like fun.
