Good Friday Prayer for Forgiveness
Lord Jesus Christ,
On this sacred day, when we remember Your suffering and death on the cross,
we come before You with humbled hearts.
You bore the weight of our sins,
You were pierced for our transgressions,
and by Your wounds, we are healed.
We confess our sins to You—our failings, our pride, our anger, our indifference.
Forgive us, Lord, for all the ways we have turned away from You,
for every hurtful word, every selfish act, every time we failed to love.
You showed us perfect love through sacrifice.
Help us to follow Your example.
Cleanse our hearts, renew our spirits, and draw us closer to You.
Thank You for Your mercy.
Thank You for the cross.
On this Good Friday, we kneel in sorrow, but also in hope, knowing that Your love is greater than all our sin.
