#goodbyes.

There is a strange sort of sadness that comes with this loss; in knowing you with whom I have lived with for the past year and a half will no longer be with me. Once we were the very best of friends. I bared my soul to you and you to me. But time has a way of wearing everything thin. A friendship once strong as stone has become thin and soft as old linen. I have reached the end of an era, a crossroads, and we who came so far together now must take our own paths. I am happy, now finally able to move forward with my own course and I am sure our paths will cross again. What we once had will linger, a fond in pleasant memory. When I am lonely I will look back at those happy times and be glad. I will cocoon myself in the soft, comfortable thing the memory of us has become. But I will be sad in knowing that what we had we will never have again.
