Because it really all is non sense.
Guys, Iâve been reading fanfic for 18 years⊠think about that, think about how many TV shows, characters, story lines, and how many ships Iâve shipped. Sure, Iâm sad that the Glee fandom is nearing the end, but this is not my first rodeo, and in a year or so it wonât be yours either.
Donât direct your anger at the very people whose stories you love because they wonât be writing about your favourite character anymore. Cherish these authors who are gracious enough to spend their spare time and talent creating story lines that push our emotions to the brink and leave a piece of them with us every time we finish that last chapter. Be grateful that they contributed to your fandom â you are forever bound together by your love of a TV show and that will never change. I still revisit fandom stories I first read years and years ago because they told the most amazing stories with characters that I loved.
Fanfic authors have introduced me to new bands, to new books, even to new fandoms. Hell, if it wasnât for alittlefoolish I wouldnât have watched all the Clexa clips to see what all the damn fuss was about. For the record I read my first Clexa fanfic this morning and loved itâŠ
Fandoms are intense and wonderful places to be in, enjoy them whilst the last because ultimately itâs the circle of life guys. Donât be upset, savour the memories, and throw yourself into the next fandom. You never know what or who youâre going to be introduced to next. You never know who you might meet. You never know how itâs going to change you as a person.
