I had a potentially world-shattering idea the other day. Going off the theory that magical ability is genetic, what if we could isolate the genetic diffrence between wizards and muggles. If we could do that we could start experememting with CRISPR and cas9(genetic editing) It could be an all wizards generation. Yea theyd be muggleborn but whats better? A bunch of muggles or a bunch of muggleborns?-Simply X
Interesting. Very interesting.Â
All wizards. All mudbloods - but we would be able to trace where the magic came from. Anyone descending from this generation can be a second tier wizard.Â
Ah, but imagine the logistics. All these new magical people being born - we do not have the infrastructure to educate and train them all. They’d be floundering. No - it would have to be a slow process. And even then, there would be vastly more of them than natural born wizards. I do not like this - it is unsettling. Muggles are one thing - they lack power, ability. They are easy to crush. But if they all suddenly had magic? Trickier, for sure....
