…is they are teaching beyond the content, even if it isn't intentional. They teach students about what good teachers for them should look like. This I believe is the most important lesson we can teach students. Because good educators isn't limited to education. Good educators form a mutual relationship with their students and don't need to manage them or have their students fear them. Good doctors should be good educators. Anyone in a field that helps others do something should be good educators. I want my students to learn from me that if any person in a similar relationship doesn't imagine them complexly, doesn't accept them for where they are at, and doesn't work with them, then it's time to terminate that relationship if possible.
