New This Week: RUA007- Gasworks/Gonman EP debuts Comma, features A.Fruit, Itoa and TMSV
Despite being only 2 years young, burgeoning record label Rua Sound has been steadily growing with an impressive and consistent work rate, contributing to the current bass music landscape in fine form with critically acclaimed work from household names such as Tim Reaper, Kid Lib, Sam Binga and Sully.
Well known for their palate of Jungle, Footwork, Grime and Hip-hop, the flourishing label releases their 7th EP with another heavy lineup, this time introducing Oakland’s Comma making his label debut with Gasworks - a deliciously glitchy cut filled with ragga and jungle samples galore, paying homage to digi era dancehall. London-based Itoa, newest addition to the Exit Records family, does his remix with flair - incorporating his signature percussive focused beats and colourful sound design.
A.Fruit steps up her game in this release with a half-time killer track called Gonman featuring D.E., bringing his intense vocals into this dark, dirty, bassy production. A regular on the Rua Sound bill is TMSV, who rounds off this EP with an edit of _Gonman _with some dancehall-infused vibes, pushing D.E.’s vocals further with dread rave vibes throughout.
