Dear Steve Burns,
I just wanted to say thank you for, well, everything. You were like a third parent to me growing up - I never got much positive feedback from my mother and father, and from a very young age I struggled to find any self-worth. But when I watched your show, here was someone who told me that I was smart, that I was important, that I was loved and appreciated. Here was someone who didn't mind that I was different, or that I made mistakes - I was still special and important. I don't know how I would've made it without you. And I know there are COUNTLESS other kids all over the world whose lives you changed drastically for the better, and plenty of them had it much worse than I did. So you know what? YOU are important. YOU are special. YOU are loved and appreciated. I hope you know that and try to remember it. I love you, Steve.
