2nd week of having my own place to work. It is nice. Very nice. There is a lot of exchange of knowledge and everyone is just so into eachothers work. It is like a bubble where I forget the world is full of trouble. It is a safe space. Twice a week, my own times. I just love it. Today I decided to take out my green clay. Earthen ware it will be. I decided to make another green necklace again, but this time I used the gold engobe instead of a glaze. It is just te best combination ever. Can’t wait to bisque fire it and then drill out those holes. I find the holes come out cleaner when I drill them after bisque firing. (And if I glaze them, I have to make sure the holes are clean as hell! I have been trying some new shapes and new techniques. Constructing shapes with differend molds and hand building them. They look quite lovely so far. I used blue chamotte clay from sibelco, green clay from SiO2 and that fancy gold engobe I used in some projects before. So, little hand made vase with green clay from @sio2.ceramicacollet It really is amazing stuff, something like porcelain but it doesn’t crumble that fast. It’s plasticity is just awesome. Might be the first earthernware clay I feel totally comfortable with like with the paperflax clay I normally use. I also used the gold engobe from @keramikos.nl because the gold and green are amazing! I only need to fire this one and glaze it before it is completely finished.
