after their day at the pool ,   ariel had tried her best to avoid this .  clearing her head was far too difficult after the possible realization that she might actually have feelings for her best friend .  they’d been friends for ages  ––  since they were children .  and it took her moving back home after years away to get this idea in her head ?  and the worst part was that it wasn’t just a faint idea caused by a flirty comment or two .  no .  there was nothing different about the way they acted in the pool a few weeks ago to the way they acted in the pool when they were fifteen .  that was the problem .  nothing had really changed .       ❛   it’s obvious .   ❜      she tried to fill the empty and seemingly uncomfortable air with a comment .  the movie had only been on for twenty minutes and laying in her childhood bed with ben was not something new  ––  but every bit of it felt different .       ❛   this made jennifer gardener’s career .   ❜
