So after seeing the Big Hero 6 AU prompt of Honey Lemon finding out she is pregnant with Tadashi’s child through Baymax scanning her, I can’t but help think of when the baby is born. She will be watching everyone from her spot in a hospital bed get to meet and hold the newest baby Hamada and she can’t help but the love how everyone is together to meet him/her. Then she realizes that someone is missing when she notices Hiro is holding his niece/nephew: Tadashi. She silently cries (post baby hormones) and Aunt Cass notices her as the others are too focused on the baby. Aunt Cass goes to Honey and holds Honey in her arms, letting the new mom cry in her shoulder. She doesn’t say anything. She knows what it’s like to be the one who will take care of someone so innocent and young that has lost the most influential part of their existence. Every day there is the guilt of being able to enjoy these moments and the pain of wondering what could have been. She wants to tell Honey it’ll be okay and it gets better. But how could she when she herself, cries at the photo of the Hamada family before the boys lost their parents at night, especially after the loss of Tadashi. Instead she pulls the new mom’s chin to face her, so she can look straight into the green eyes Tadashi adored. “Hey…You got this.”
