okay was going through the oasis songs noel performed solo on setlist.fm because of lrb and i have so many questions. like yeah basically performing angel child for the first time two days after beady eye's olympics performance and seeing liam at george michael's party okay. and changing the lyrics from won't you make me walk into the light to won't you make me see what's wrong and right okay. and the only other time he performed it was in november 2012? and idler's dream (you're an idler's dream so sing me shangri-la) was only ever performed twice also in november 2012??
why did he sing shout it out loud (and every which way we turn / always seems insane / but it makes me feel alive) twice in march 2013 and twice in march 2015 and never again before or since?
why did he suddenly add going nowhere (here am i getting lost and lonely / sad and only) to his setlist in 2023 when it was never even performed with oasis??
but mostly what the fuck was happening in december 2015?? d'yer wanna be a spaceman (but if you wanna be a spaceman it's still not too late), last performed in 1996, sang a bunch in 2012, then brought back in december 2015 and 2016.
sad song (don't throw it all away), last performed in 1995, and brought back in december 2015 and 2016.
cast no shadow (as they took his soul they stole his pride) only ever performed solo three times in december 2015.
slide away (and i wanna try now / i wanna make you mine now) only ever performed solo three times in december fucking 2015 again?? and once in february 2019.
Mad World - Tears for Fears (1982)
This month's roundup is a little late due to the watg release, but here's some other bands by various garages!
You can find a link to the original google doc list here (not sure how often we'll update it, but hey, better than a static image).

I used to say a fanfic had never made me cry, but this week alone I’ve read two that completely wrecked me — and this one especially destroyed me. As a Beatles fan and a McLennon truther, this hit me hard. Some of the scenes, especially the ones at the hospital... Damn, they broke me. I love these two so much, and even though there’s always been some taboo around RPF, this fic gave me the closure that real life never did — especially after watching Two of Us (2000). Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this more to any Beatles fan. The way the author captures the voices of the two characters is incredible; you can feel the differences between John and Paul, and it’s just so well done. I cried a lot, but I loved every second of it.
