Simon is a tidy guy. it takes Grace a bit to notice, but when the amount of objects he usually trips on is dramatically reduced and the clothes he left on the floor earlier are no longer there, it's hard not to notice. Simon started cleaning after both him and Grace at some point

he's also careful. he takes care of the things around him, be it by cleaning them or handling them softly. he's even more careful with anything Grace gives him directly. it was a bit hard to prove this last point, but after the time Simon almost burst into tears when he stained a shirt Grace gave him, Grace was pretty sure he was right

Simon doesn't really like asking for stuff —or asking in general. it was clearly an effort on his part the first time he asked Grace what a thing meant in a book he was reading. but every once in a while, Grace will manage to break through to him and Simon will spend hours asking for explanations about anything and everything. Grace answers to the best of his capabilities
