he has his own domestic A.I. called Godfree

named after 1936 screwball comedy, My Man Godfrey (about a rich man posing as a homeless man posing as a Butler to a Manhattanite)

but Bucky calls him ‘God’ for short (eg. ‘hey God’) because he’s a voice in the ceiling

cannot decide if he speaks like a lilting Irishman (think Hozier) or with the voice of Bob Ross

(if the former he definitely inspires both the name and accent of F.R.I.D.A.Y)

he can do: cooking, cleaning, laundry, online shopping & delivery-handling, mail retrieval, timed cat-feeding, reading audiobooks, playing music, issuing reminders for To Do Lists, medicine-taking, etc.

he was initially made to help Bucky keep his house nice & secure when he is eg. having mental problems 

but secretly also to help Bucky’s elderly parents and later his elderly sisters live comfortably, day to day

he can also monitors Bucky's sleep to help with nightmares by playing ASMR, piping in perfume, etc.

he cannot do gardening, dusting, finessed engineering or fabrication.

he only does things when Bucky orders him to do something, so Bucky can start a recipe himself and then ask him to take over if it’s a recipe that takes a long time. 

He also learns how to cook by monitoring how Bucky does things for himself so he will reproduce, eg. Bucky’s preferred amount of stirs, seasoning, etc. 

a la Dum-E there is also a small long-armed clumsy robot, named Chip 

as in micro- but also after the cup from Beauty and the Beast

Chip can get trapped in a vicious cycle of picking up things Alpine has deliberately knocked off counters

Bucky prefers analogue non-computer controlled literal physical security measures (read: straight-up booby traps), because they’re less susceptible to outside tampering.

#181: ONE DAY CLOSER - “unconquered”

ONE DAY CLOSER was a (straight edge) metalcore-band from the netherlands, which reminds me a lot of DISEMBODIED or ARKANGEL. the first song (”loneliness”) even starts a little bit like DEADGUY, but it changes more into this classic metalcore-style with some moshparts soon. 

partly the four songs are pretty nice though (with very emotional lyrics), but in total it’s just a typical 90s metalcore-record. the 7″ was released on coalition records, but i can’t find a release date. the packaging is very nice by the way. the cover is foldable and comes with a banderole with further (personal) texts.
