Drawtober 2023: Solar Sneeze

I recall the prompt for this at the event I was working on alongside Drawtober was a solar flare or solar storm I think. I don't have personifications of the solar system yet, so I thought Solaris would be the closest thing. Different gods may appear different depending on sickness. With Solaris, since he has a big ball of fire-like hair, I imagine his hair gets smokier-looking to indicate that he's not feeling great. Also tends to sneeze fire. The sneezing fire part is pretty difficult to deal with. Especially as he'll burn tissues. Solaris, Penelope Browne- Me (@circifox)

Drawtober 2023: Pulling Against The Void

This piece took two attempts. This was the second. Another thing I was doing for this challenge was trying to work with some of my Gods AU characters where it was relevant. So I did draw Gods AU Penelope quite a bit. Something I haven't explored with her as much is how different aspects of her space powers manifest. I wanted the look of her being overtaken by shadow and the void and grasping at light to seem eerie. This was also inspired by a RP that happened with her where her insecurities got to her and she got cocooned by darkness and it was Quite Bad. Penelope Browne- Me (@circifox)

NEO King and Queen

So, one game I've been meaning to finish is Hades. I really love the art style and story and character dynamics present in the game. One thing I was meaning to do was try to work on style experimentation and trying to draw my characters in the way they drew the characters for Hades. I know it's choppy and it definitely could use some more style studies (which I'm not great about doing). It was a lot of fun to experiment and draw them in a way I wasn't used to. Miitopia: Gods AU Edition (Realm of the Fey)

Previous: https://www.deviantart.com/circifox/art/Miitopia-Gods-AU-Edition-Neksdor-920069941 This is the only one in the team set that I didn't have a process piece on Instagram for. I'm just as bad at posting on Instagram as I am with the other art sites I work with. I also didn't work as much with the background since it was more difficult for me to figure out how to handle the Realm of the Fey style versus Greenhorne and Neksdor. I've also been working on finishing a different set of lineups that I started before this.  Anyway, the team! Penelope (Main Character; Stubborn Mage) The Goddess of Time and Space The last of the jobs that I did for Penelope was the Mage. I think I did prefer the Warrior and the Cat jobs for her? Not that the Mage is bad. It might tie into how Penelope fights in general in the Gods AU. She's not as trained with her magic, so she tends to use her swordfighting more and magic as a supplement. It was fun working with the robe designs for her to better fit her role as the Goddess of Space. Since I've used the Cat and Warrior a lot more for her, I can't remember the mage experience. It was fun though. Anthea (7th Party Member; Kind Flower) The Goddess of Nature, Flowers and Plantlife, Healing, Chastity, and Spring Oh Anthea. Her Flower Power skill and support skills are great, especially as she was on the final boss team along with Caspian and Angel. However, her biggest blunder was when she spared a Very Rare Snurp. And it left. She hasn't used spare as often, but the fact she used it then was very upsetting. She didn't do that very often, but that moment has been stained in my memory. Otherwise, she was still reliable and brought the wrath of nature as expected of her. Anthea being a flower was natural. I also recall that she butt heads with her father, Fredrick, on healing a few times. It was funny how she and her dad both ended up being healers. Maria (8th Party Member; Energetic Tank) Angel; Servant of the Goddess Zia Maria is the only other party member who isn't a god. She's Zia's angelic servant, and she's one of many character I haven't drawn properly for the Gods AU. This piece is the first time that I've begun to work out Maria's design. I have described her in text and do know how she looks in my head. I also got to see how the tank job worked with wigs. In battle, she'd have the helmet on, but at the inn she would not. It was fun to see her in action. Octavia (9th Party Member; Cool Princess) The Muse of History and Epic Poetry; The Goddess of Thieves, Cunning, and Wit I can't remember if Octavia was cool or stubborn in the Gods AU Miitopia playthrough. Considering Diamond's personality was different, I think I also made Octavia different? I did make a self imposed rule that Diamond and Octavia specifically could not have the same classes from the original playthrough. I don't remember as much about her from the playthrough as it's been a while, but it was fun seeing a princess in action when I wasn't in full control. Beni and Brachium

From The Black Hole's 5th Anniversary Collab Event. I did two pieces. This one is of Penelope Browne (my OC Penelope's Gods AU equivalent) and Brachium (Penelope's Stars AU equivalent). Browne is in her "Beni" form (a look designed by my friend Bekah if Browne was a spacey). I know that I did reference separate floating poses on google when working on this--I just can't quite remember which ones I did. Usually, I write the specific poses I reference on the top of the paper or on the back, so it was my bad with this one. Drawtober 2023: Black Hole

This may have been for the "dark" prompt for the drawtober list I was using and I know it was for the "black hole" prompt from the other challenge I was working on around this time. This was a depiction of a visual I had for Penelope using her spatial manipulation abilities (there's a physical space usage and an outer space usage). She's controlling how long the black hole is open for with her hand. I do kind of like how this turns out, but the perfectionist in my is saying that Penelope's face looks awkward.
