Teaching Hearts to be Closer to God
To be closer to God is life’s ultimate goal. There is no doubt about that. The thought alone of being with Him brings us great relief. That stated, we attempt to teach our hearts the ways of getting close to His grace. With little to no knowledge at all about the ways, we often evaluate our actions if they are right or not. We associate godliness with things that bring us pleasure. Yet, we often disregard the conditions our acts bring to others. What we think is right possibly is wrong to the other. As a result, we confuse a lot of things and think gallantly how of righteous we are. There are a lot of religious books that wring the godliness out of us. Although other ill acts are not as grave as the others, they nevertheless inflict harm on us. It is always commendable to pair the acts of piety with perseverance. Perseverance helps us endure the threats of evil. Thus, swerving away from the right path becomes almost impossible. Aside from pairing perseverance with piety, there are still so many things to do that draw us closer to God.
