Osiris’s brother and enemy, Set, tricked him by throwing a party at which Set presented guests with a beautiful box and told them whoever fit in best would win it. Osiris, having a very low Sense Motive score, got in and Set sealed it with lead and threw it in the Nile. Hey, if it fits, he sits.

Kumbhakarna means “pot-eared”. It takes one thousand elephants walking over him to wake him up and he once grabbed and ate handfuls of monkeys in a show of power.

Khepri’s name means “he who is coming into being". Though he was primarily depicted as the beautiful beetlevriend we’re used to, he was also shown as a man with an actual entire scarab beetle for a head which looks just about as weird as you’d expect.

One myth says that Kali was terrorizing a forest when one of Shiva’s devotees pleads to him to stop his wife’s destruction. Shiva confronts Kali, who refuses to leave. So they have a dance-off, naturally. Shiva plays dirty and lifts his foot over his head, considered a very masculine gesture. Due to her modesty, Kali is unable to imitate the move and loses the dance-off (but not her dignity).
