The gods do not care if you have a statue of them, the gods do not care if you have a candle, the gods do not care if you put their offering on a plastic plate, the gods do not care if you get them a nice offering.

You are trying, you are worshiping them. That is all that matters. You are trying.

🤔 no I haven't, not even from atheists. 😁 o have had one 'issue' with people questioning my deity choice (Kali Ma) and that she is of closed culture and 'why am I a devotee of her'. So, I acknowledged that, and went out of my way to explain to OP that she approached me, (for many many many many many years to my blind self) and then went and looked for the okay to worship her. I found a Temple of Ma Kali! (Plan to visit as soon as I can!) And emailed them! Explained who I am, that I am not of Hindu decent (to my knowledge) and what I should do, any guidance they could give me, since I would like to worship her. The emailed within 24 hours! And said, and I can find the email, though I believe I posted it here, and said, "Do you need permission to worship your Mother? She is your Mother because she came to you and more that I cannot currently remember. If I find the post I will post it after this. But, other than that, nope! My deities are my deities and they know their place on the worship scale. God sits at the top, no exceptions. Then, since that is my personal I wont break it further down, the others fall in their worship place. But they all get their day, even when shared, and when shared they get equal time throughout the day.

Day 2 on our fishing trip, I'm having an amazing time! This morning, my mother in law and I went down to catch some fish! We both separately caught (and released) a largemouth bass, my husband came down and he caught and released a catfish!! We didn't catch anything else after but it was so serene and peaceful just sitting out there.

I love that he fully encourages me to be the keeper of our hearth, to put up protective wards, to make him protective charms and sachets!

I love that he never hesitates to pray with me if I need him, he listens to me going on rambles about my religion and my deities, and overall he's just a great supporter.

We go by Calypso, we are a Greek and native person! Who worships most of the gods, but primarily ares and Aphrodite!

A lot of mythology is just stories, we do not know the true story and will never know. Greek and Celtic mythology has been censored for thousands of years.
