this is so hard because i feel like i don't appreciate album art enough.... i do get intrigued by album art, and it can 100% make me go "oh i have to listen to this, see what it's all about," but then there's the whole don't judge a book by its cover thing (or an album in this case!)

but if we're just going by album covers... i can at least give you five i really like!

like i am not the biggest fan of this album (please don't kill me w rocks i am simply more of a pink floyd & genesis moth) BUT this artwork is incredible. it's so unsettling. the detail, the color, like damn. if i saw this when high i'd have a panic attack lol

i'm a fan of the cover for lungs, as well. i don't really have much to say that's deep, i just loved this look so so so much. the greenery, her hair, the clothes, the fact that the lungs must be heavy...

you know i'm a sucker for the halo kind of imagery. i also just feel like this image goes so well with the banger intro. i can't describe why.

i have to admit i love this because something about it evokes a book cover to me. it reminds me of going to the scholastic book fair as a kid that's all i got for you.

1: favorite main character? ARTEMY PATHO1 no question about it. I know 2 wanted to create a choice for him about being able to assimilate into the Town, but the mission "what is my life worth if I don't take my father's inheritance" is so much more compelling to me... he IS worth nothing to the town and hated or disregarded until he takes the position of Warden, and the impossibility of doing that in the face of plague and the foreman and a route all about alienation from the major NPCs makes him reckless in a way that works ideally for a video game playable character. "why do you risk your life standing here before me? / because I don't value it" but through the magic of reloading saves he makes it through... the play about the "orphan-winner" as that one little boy npc calls it... and his explicit not minding being controlled by other forces encompassing not only the player, but justifying to the player the reliance on clara's miracle that you're required on day 11 to choose. there's kind of a closeness in the player's partnership with him that the other healers don't get. aglaya picks up on this as well :-)

3: dumbest way you've died so far? not a "death" so much as it was a "sent artemy to turbohell forever" but it was absolutely the time the patho2 alpha decided the ground did not have collision and caused him to fall into the void upon waking up and exiting his lair. mother boddho resigned

okay well. there are many. some of them get the "mutual of my mutual" pass. but every single time someone forces me to see skinny alfred i want to gouge my eyes out. you people fucking suck why are you showing me skinny men. i don't want to see skinny women either. i'm anti-skinny and i'm especially anti-skinny alfred. muscley? fine. sure. he's dehydrated i guess he can have a six pack or whatever. but oh my god he's not a TWINK. stop showing me that sickly critter that's not alfred.

common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

i'm sorry but it's really fucking dumb to me when people talk about characters being judgemental of appearance-based traits. none of them react to that! with half the armor you can't even see the player character!!! wtf are you talking about!!!!

the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

oh who do you think i'm gonna pick huh? who do you think? do you think alfred? well you're WRONG because alfred hasn't really done anything to deserve it.

it's patches and the reason you should like patches is because he hates the church and he's really fucking funny. he's just my funny weed dealer c'mon now he even made it easy to get out of his traps in demon souls. c'mon he's not so bad i'm proud of him :) like

i've been trying to decide since i got this ask what concert they're at and i think the only appropriate answer is korn!

leiurus learns really quickly why kyrie insisted they all bring ear plugs (overstimulation city)

kyrie intimidates someone being rude about the opening act by just glaring at them until they shut up and start cowering

everyone has an emotional moment to a song (maybe "falling away from me"?)

frost loses their glasses while really getting into the headbanging

2. Wildest theory you’d defend?

my own theory that daniil in quarantine is absolutely correct in that the letter sent by isidor (if it was sent by isidor) was a trap. i've said this many times but the kains needed someone from outside the town to help them achieve their goals, and if you choose the utopian ending as the bachelor, then it works out perfectly for them. proof that daniil is nothing but a tool to them: not only is he not in the utopian ending, but "maria" (nina) dismisses him before the final verdict is even given.

i could and would go on but i'm afraid i'd annoy people by repeating myself.

16. Have you ever tried to explain Pathologic to the uninitiated?

yeah actually, more than once! i've actually gotten... let's see... at least six people? interested in pathologic, which has required some explaining of what it's actually about. and i have also explained it to at least three more who had no intention of playing it. explaining it can be a little difficult and i'm definitely not a salesperson, but it can be worth it.

why did i say 'actually' four times.

24. What was your craziest misconception/funniest misunderstanding while figuring out the lore?

well until yesterday i thought characters were using the term 'orgy' literally to refer to a sex party (andrey saying 'yesterday's orgy was disgusting', or something to that effect). then my buddy explained that they were using the term to refer to the outbreaks of violence. i might be autistic.
