It's kind of crazy that since 1986, we've been eating genetically manufactured products. It's as if though we are really living in the matrix. These products (GMP's) have been linked to cancer and several other illnesses; and the government DOESN'T even deny it. I really believe that school shootings -- which are at a record setting pace -- and we haven't even made it through the first month of the year yet -- and other tragedies can be attributed to these scientific experimentations (corn, soy, etc) that we call food. I could be wrong. Maybe so; I mean, it's not like everyone in the entire world are committing such atrocities. But what if I was right? What if GMP's affected us all differently. Take the case of "going postal" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Going_postal -- which were most prevalent between 1986 and 1997 -- as an example if you will. Most of the shooters were linked to antidepressants; even though the government tried to hide any evidence of a controlled drug history among them; but the truth came to light in many of the cases long AFTER the fact. So, the government admits that there is DEFINITELY a link to cancer in the foods that we eat everyday that contain GMP's; but do they admit that GMP's are also connected to the increased violence in every age group nationwide? Thierry Vrain -- a former pro-GMP scientist -- seems to think so. He said that the rats who were fed GMP's, produced way less serotonin than what normally should be produced. What is serotonin? Serotonin is a naturally occurring chemical in the brain (a neurotransmitter) that is responsible, in part, for regulating brain functions such as mood, appetite, sleep, and memory. Problems with serotonin have been linked to mood disorders such as depression and to borderline personality disorder (BPD). In plain English? It's what tells the brain to relax, "because it's not that serious that that guy didn't say excuse me when he bumped into me." Serotonin controls that sudden impulse to slap the cashier who got smart with you at a fast food restaurant. It's the voice of reason that tells you to calm down; and the lower serotonin is, the more likely you are to "go postal." Now like I said, I could be wrong; this all could just be a mere theory; but either way, it doesn't matter. Why? Because it's too late. Once traditional foods are contaminated with GM genes, there is no going back! Michael Antoniou, PhD, who heads the Gene Expression and Therapy Group at King's College at London School of Medicine in the UK, further explained: “Genetic pollution is so prevalent in North and South America where GM crops are grown that the fields of conventional and organic grower are regularly contaminated with engineered pollen and losing certification. The canola and flax export market from Canada to Europe (a few hundreds of millions of dollars) were recently lost because of genetic pollution.” So there you have it folks, the government played -- and continues to play -- God, and we lost. The best advice that I can give is to avoid GMP's at all cost and eat as organically as possible; be cautious with organic products as well; a lot of them also contain hidden gluten and soy. Definitely check all the food labels very carefully and learn how to spot gluten, which is the new MSG of the millenium because of it's many names that it hides under. But on the other hand -- if your OK with eating scientifically altered food -- this will be you in a few years..."If you close your eyes, it almost feels like you're eating runny eggs...you have to wonder: how do the machines know what Tasty Wheat (gluten) tasted like?" - The Matrix. Cheers
