The kitten gives GB the stink eye as she reaches the geode, but goes back to pressing its face against RD!Illusion's. He picks it up and sets it in his lap, giving it a scratch under the chin before he pulls out his own leather-bound notebook, using a metallic red gel pen to write down a note about the Guardian.
Elemental, after hesitating for a moment, sits down close to RD!Illusion, keeping an eye on GB and tensed and ready to take action at any signs of danger.
Not even I know what caused it, it's as if this realm's connection to all other dimensions vanished as soon as he appeared.
He points towards RD, who pauses writing and looks up.
Not even I can get back to... wherever I'm from.
His blank nametag flickers and glitches slightly.
GB frowns, sad that she made the kitten upset. She gets over it quickly though, getting her attention stolen by their talk about dimensions and such. GM keeps taking notes, glancing up at Elemental every few seconds but constantly has his pen moving.
"You... don't know where you're from?"
GM lifts his pen up from the page and tilts his head to the side, curious. Since he was too busy being locked in on taking in as much information as he can, he didn't notice the nametag flickering. GB did though, and squints at it, uncertain if her eyes were just playing tricks on her or not. It seemed real enough, though, so she points at it and asks,
"Did- did none of you just see the nametag glitch out? It did change for a second there, right?"
"... What???"
The kitten sits, watching GM read this very dusty book.
The first page is written entirely in metallic purple gel ink. The handwriting is neat, although slightly smudged, and one or two misspelled words are scribbled out and rewritten. The letters are somewhat square-ish.
To anyone who may stumble across this, this cabin is a safe spot from any dangers both in this realm and the one above. The walls will withstand a hit from any creatures native to the nether, and this lava-filled place should be damaging enough to Rainbow and Light that they wouldn't step foot here. Feel free to stay and rest as long as you need.
GM hesitates for a second, seeing the metallic ink. Just for a spilt second is he reminded of the ink that Sabre has in his pens back in his world, but surely this isn't like that.... He reads it out loud, speaking in what sounds like the same tone that Wifis uses when he reads anything during his ARG videos. He clears his throat after, glancing up at GB.
"Oh cool... What's wrong with Light and Rainbow, though?"
"Maybe this world is like a zombie infection one?"
"Well- normally I'd call you insane for saying something like that, but it would explain the lab..."
GM nods, surprised that she's actually agreeing with him on something he's suggesting. He turns the page to see what else is written in the book.
The kitten turns its head and meows before looking back at the wall. This part of the wall is made of dirt, and there's a small pile of the soil fallen to one corner of it, as if the wall itself was scraped or dragged against something.
GB stares at the dirt wall for a moment, unsure if she should try dig it out or if it's not actually important. Honestly, she doesn't want to get dirt all over her hands since she doesn't have a shovel, so she chooses to not touch it.
"Huh... Weird."
Meanwhile, GM finally gives into temptation and presses the button, feeling immensely satisfied with this even though there's a chance that this was one of the worst mistakes he could have made.
The drips, one every few feet now, lead to a clearing, stopping where a small glowing stain on the ground is visible, as if whatever was leaking was set down and patched up.
Both of them stop again when the trail ends, GM glaring at it as if it had insulted him (I would say his mother, but he doesn't exactly have one). GB does a slow spin, trying to see if there's any other nearby clues for where this person could have gone.
"Well. Good for them, bad for us."
GB stops to look at him again.
"You could say that again. So, where to next?"
GM stops looking at the stain to give her a confused and stressed glare.
"Why do you think I'd know?"
"Seeing as you got us this far, I can only assume you've got an idea already."
GM huffs and puts his hands on his hips, not also trying to see if there's any more clues to where this person could have gone. Any broken branches, footprints, anything at all...

A small tabby grey-and-white kitten tumbles into existence, seemingly in the middle of cleaning some sort of dried, faintly glowing substance off of its fur. It looks around, confused at the sudden world shift, a small, metal nametag jingling as it hits the golden dandelion carefully woven into its light blue collar each time it turns its head.
(I feel like, with everything going on, at least one illusion is gonna want an emotional support animal)

The cat arrives in a strangely decorated, very messy room. It looks like one half of the room belongs to someone much more organized and neater than the other, who's side is a mess with varying half finished projects, different printed photos and crumpled up papers lying around, and lots of cut up string everywhere. There's someone in the room, currently working on muttering under their breath while pacing in front of what appears to be a conspiracy board.
He turns around at the sound of the jingling, taking a moment to look at the cat with complete confusion with their different colored eyes.
"Since when did we have a cat..?"
Insane..?
The kitten stretches up into GM's hand as he pets it, starting to softly purr. RD!Illusion looks down at the ground.
No, they were fairly nice when they were around...
GM starts writing down notes again while petting Fake Illusion. His companion looks off to the side, not at anything in particular, just looking around this place.
"Huh. Weird."
GM seems to realize something and glances up towards the other three for a second before starting to write a lot more onto his notepad while muttering to himself.
"like a swap universe..."
"... What are you going on about?"
GB raises an eyebrow at GM, who pauses to glance up at her again. Seeing as he takes more than a second to start rambling, GB decides that she doesn't actually want to know.
"Nevermind, enjoy your nerding."
GM scoffs and glares at her, but goes back to writing fairly quickly.
Instead of letting GB pet it, the kitten makes its way to GM to demand pets. Meanwhile, RD!Illusion has flipped to a new page in his own notebook, switching to a metallic purple gel pen to take notes on the base.
Interesting...
A void... is it like some sort of pocket dimension?
GB is internally devasted by the loss of her Cat Petting Permissions, but GM is happy to pet Fake Illusion while GB can't. He tucks the pen he has inside of the spiral binding of the notepad and holds that in his left hand so he can pet the kitty without having to put down anything he was holding. He looks uncomfortable with explaining the collective base to them, but answers Elemental's question regardless.
"Something like that, yeah."
"Are Nightmare and Dark not insane here or something?"
GM glances over at GB, grateful that she changed the topic even if she didn't appear to care much about GM's discomfort. Still petting Fake Illusion, GM sets the notepad on his leg, using it like a clipboard, and takes out the pen.
