Iseul got her start in the entertainment industry early as a child actor in several movies and TV shows in Korea
She stopped acting professionally when she got into middle school because she wanted to focus more on her studies and get a good education. She still went to SOPA for high school in the acting program, intending to get back into the industry after she graduated.
After acting in several school musicals, and being around many idols and trainees in high school, Iseul decided to learn how to sing and dance and pursue an idol career.
Her parents were supportive of her efforts and together she finally felt prepared enough to audition for companies. After passing several auditions at different companies it came time to decide when to sign to.
She settled on Leo Entertainment after meeting the other trainees, Mijoo and Soo-gook, and the CEO, Lena, and seeing her commitment to the wellbeing of the idols under the company.
