Plotted starter for Sansa, @gloryxfades
Cersei felt the world tightening around her, or so it seemed. Her handmaid adjusted the laces of her dress as she brought her cup to her lips slowly- anger brewing in her very soul. Control was necessary though, she was aware of it. Allowing herself to become livid was poor strategy on a day like today. The Dragon Queen, or should it be said her darling little brother, have extended a request for a ceasefire. Cersei huffed upon swallowing the sip- the familiar, warm taste of wine warming her throat and quelling her temper. Jamie had seemed to approve of the halt to the hostilities, but she knew this was just a delay of the inevitable. If her brother had lost his never in the matter, she would not. In the end, she was the only true heir to their Lord father, if there was ever any doubt, now it had become clear.
The Targaryen bitch would not be coming alone, Qyburn’s birds had informed them as much. No, she would be coming with all the rest of them. Her brother, the Greyjoy sea bitch, and Ned Stark’s bastard pup, who had taken to calling himself the King in the North. None of those she cared much for, not after they informed her his darling red headed sister would be accompanying the Northern delegation. Sansa.
Sweet little dove. Even her thoughts were laced with pure hatred as she thought of the girl. Once, when Sansa was but a child, Cersei felt some inkling of compassion towards her. True, the girl had been utterly dull and annoyingly naïve, but her engagement to Joff, who (for all her love of him) was cruel towards her, made the Queen sympathetic towards her. Cersei had even tried to teach her about life, about what she can expect from it. Yes, some might say her teachings were just as traumatizing and cruel as her son himself, but they’d have been for the girl’s own good, in Cersei’s way.
The evil little bitch repaid that attempt of kindness, remote as it had been, but taking her firstborn from her. Oh, the Queen hated many, but none quite as much as Sansa Stark. Her foolish courage and her belief that her bastard brother and the Dragon slut and her armies would be able to protect her would be that silly girls undoing.
Even now, when she closed her eyes at night, Cersei would see Joff’s face, shocked and pained. A mother never forgets such a sight, such gut-wrenching loss. Finishing off her cup Cersei turned and motioned for her guard to follow her. She would use the long ride to the Dragon’s pit to contemplate all the sweet ways for Sansa Stark to suffer as her poor boy had suffered.
