The world is currently grappling with a multitude of challenges, from geopolitical tensions to the erosion of trust in democratic institutions. Ongoing conflicts and unrest in various regions continue to displace millions and destabilize entire nations. Simultaneously, the upcoming elections in many countries have ignited heated debates and concerns about the potential for misinformation and disinformation to sway public opinion. 

A pervasive spread of negativity and false narratives on social media platforms further exacerbates these issues, creating a toxic environment that hinders constructive dialogue and undermines societal cohesion. 

In this special BackStory episode, Steve provides a clear, unfiltered account of the global power shift currently unfolding across all countries. He openly discusses the nearly 40-year-old plans initiated by white Christian nationalists in the U.S. and their collaboration with dictators and authoritarian leaders worldwide to establish a new world order. 

Despite such news, there are glimmers of hope that point towards a more positive future. According to Steve, while the road ahead may be fraught with obstacles, the resilience and determination of humanity offer a beacon of hope in these turbulent times.

Everlasting Life comes right at us with this week's scripture in John chapter five, verses twenty-four through twenty seven.  This section is great news for all people who want eternal life, #forgiveness, and a relationship through #Christ. Many will be blessed to walk in this scripture saying: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from #death unto #life". In this week's episode we see a #planet with #naturaldisasters and #globalunrest that threaten many countries. Not only #persecution, but with that various dangers. Even here in America facing issues of #openborders, #illegal gangs, murder, theft, and more all the while the #politicalside of #America does nothing to protect our #nation and #people.  #Everlastinglife

The theme of Expo 2015 is "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life," and is focused on sustainable food production. But this latest iteration of the world fair has come under fire from critics, including Pope Francis, for what many call a wasteful, business-driven agenda.

The ‘Global Unrest’ article was my favorite article this week. I knew that online revolutions are usually affective because it isn’t easy to regulate them. However, I hadn’t thought about the government putting out propaganda and it being dismissed or “instantly flammable” due to the millions of people seeing it and being able to discuss it with each other. It makes sense that online revolutions are able to easily undermine the hierarchy and give the people a new sense of power. In all honesty, I am kind of ignorant about the revolutions being talked about in the readings, so I found this article to be the easiest to comprehend. It was interesting to see the ways in which the online revolutions today parallel with revolutions that go as far back as 1914. I would be interested to see how experts think social media and technological evolution will influence future revolutions.
