Meet Kori Duquette, a global Wildcat in the RN to BSN program from Escanaba, Michigan. Here’s what Kori had to say about her global experience with NMU:
“We get to pick the topic of each clinical project, so I know it’s something I’ll be interested in and passionate about. Sometimes with traditional experience, you’re required to do clinics that you’re not particularly interested in. One of my projects focused on childhood obesity and my current project is months and months in the making. I’m developing an algorithm within the Epic system that makes it easier to transfer patients between units in the hospital; in my case from the in-patient floor to the GI clinic. My preceptor is passionate about this, too, and has been very supportive throughout this project. My work is fulfilling requirements for my clinic and helping me meet goals at work as well.”
