don't you worry, I AM still working on it! I still need more time to cook, but the next chapter is over halfway done now — it's gettin there!

this IS an important question, so thank you for being brave enough to ask it

there are a lot of imps (mostly background characters) who are still taller than Blitz, so it's hard to say if he's actually a tall imp or just average I think?

plus, we DO stan a short king, I agree! so I can't see Blitz being any taller than like, 5'5" at the most in his human form

I absolutely LOVED it! that stolitz desk sex hit better than any drug and will sustain me until season 3 eaaasily

but seriously, I thought it did an amazing job laying the groundwork for the show! a huge step up from the original pilot and a better set up than murder family too

I like how it clearly showcased all the character's personalities and introduced the conflict surrounding the grimoire. the episode was funny and fun to watch, the animation was fantastic, and Stolas was horny... what more could I ask for?

it's so crazy that you sent me these kind words just when I needed to hear them most! last night, I was talking to my sister about being too anxious to re-open the shop because (aside from restocking my old zine), I don't have anything new to add

thank you so much! I did not expect to get such a positive response to his human design and it makes me so happy!

as for inspiration: I looked at Barbie's human design as a starting point— they should look alike, so it only makes sense!

I knew I wanted his hairstyle to be wavy, but I also gave him an undercut out of pure self indulgence (I like undercuts and have one myself lol). and ofc I tried to capture a bit of Brandon's vibe in the design as well!

also the scars are such an important aspect to Blitz's character in the story, I wanted to make it clear that they ARE indeed scars— so I used some extra line work to add the illusion of "texture" to those areas

and idk if this really counts but: after drawing him for a while, I found that if I started drawing his head, eyes, and mouth as though I was about to draw him as his regular imp-self, and THEN added in the nose, ears, and hair— he felt more "Blitz-like" to me!

thank you SO much! you nailed exactly what I was trying to do— change just enough details so that Blitz doesn't look EXACTLY like an imp, but still feels like himself! I can't take all the credit though, making the heart symbol on his head broken was Sonnet's idea!

it was also her idea to have Stolas dressed in his Ozzie's outfit for the final scene! I really loved that detail too 🥹💖 didn't realize how much I missed seeing Stolas wearing that outfit until I was drawing those pages! he looks so cute in it 😍
