Also, he can't directly hypnotize April for some reason, but he can broadcast to cause her inner anger, and he's done it several times. However, April has a kind personality and has always managed to suppress her inner anger. Additionally, it's likely that Cad prefers her emotions of fear and anxiety, as the design of these spirals is often associated with Cad symbolically. For some reason, he ignores or appears depressed when it comes to feelings of love or infatuation, so I've assumed that he simply finds these emotions uninteresting or tasteless.
