Some odd glitch I encountered today while playing Phantasmagoria of Flower View.

If you rename thbgm.dat and delete th09.cfg, you will reset the game to have MIDI ost. When checking the songs from the music room you will notice that only part of them have MIDI version, for others it just plays the last MIDI track you listened to. Attempting to do a BGM chaos will not have expected result as there will be no WAV playing during the stage. Exiting the stage will lead to game crash.
If you charge and release a gauge attack at the top of the screen in Phantasmagoria of Flower View using Youmu, her speed will become extremely slow (both focused and unfocused). To cancel this effect you must charge and release a gauge attack in any other part of the screen except the top.Â
Also, it seems that pressing X to release the gauge attack without charging does not cancel the slow effect.Â

Have you noticed how the CPU can shoot while charging an attack? it's normally impossible for a human player to shoot during a charge. Is the CPU cheating? (There's an exemple in the third gif in your Youmu gifset)
Thanks for pointing that out, I didn’t notice it until you mentioned it. Yeah, it’s impossible for a human to do that. There is no doubt now that the CPU is cheating, that’s why PoFV is difficult.Â
Hi! I have a glitch to share about PoFV v1.50a. If you play either Story or Extra mode with Lyrica's alternate colour (hold shift while selecting the character to use alternate colour), the game will crash as you enter the final stage. What's unique about Lyrica's final stage is that Merlin and Lunasa appear during the dialogue, so I guess it's related to the game crash. It then shows a long error message in japanese, it ends with "error: pl06b_fc_s. anm is not found in arcfile.".
Tested it on ver. 1.00 too and it also happens there! The video is recorded from ver. 1.50a though.
Also, thank you @a-guys-random-blog for this screenshot of the whole error message (my screen was too small it didn’t display all the text)
By the way, while testing this glitch, I noticed that if you play Lyrica and fight Reimu in Story mode, the game will incorrectly play Marisa's theme, Oriental Dark Flight, instead of Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path.
